Thanks to you and 170+ other Friends of Coronado Heights we had the funding
for renovations to the castle and restroom building. Your gift, added to a $90,000 grant from the Kansas
Historic Preservation Trust Fund, made it possible for us to:
Replace the observation deck in the castle
Replace the castle support timbers
Make each building more accessible for visitors
Make other needed repairs to each building
Now on to Phase-Two!
Restoration and improvements to the original WPA drainage system is needed to curb erosion, followed by the installation
of a more permanent asphalt or chip-seal paved road.
Our goal is $90,000.

| With any donation you will become a member of the Smoky Valley Historical Association. We have bi-monthly meetings held
on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Bethany Home in the Activities Room. Program starts at 7:30 p.m. with topics of local
historical interest. Come join us! |
